Unique technology to bring London's Millennium photomat to life
A Liquid innovation has helped the GLA use its 16m x 10m photomat to entertain and inform people visiting the lower ground floor of London's City Hall.
With handheld PC tablets sensing exactly where the visitor is standing in the 1,000 sq miles that the map represents, the GLA have been able to tell the story of each London borough in a uniquely entertaining way.
Following the success of the initial Transport For London content set, History and 2012 Olympic content has been added to the system, with regular content additions planned for the future.
The bespoke package from Liquid combines the latest in ultra wideband radio tracking systems, bespoke software development and a highly creative interface paying particular attention to user accessibility compliance, such as a text-to-speech facility for visual impaired users, and the relevant brand strategies of the government departments involved.
